Max's restaurant in Kinsale offers a warm welcome and a calm atmosphere with tasteful decor. The menu is intentionally limited to focus on quality, with the owner even greeting guests in perfect French. High-quality food and excellent service make for a superb dining experience, with particularly delicious appetizers like Soba Noodles and Pan Fried Scallops. Overall, Max's is a fabulous family-run restaurant with fantastic fusion cuisine and a passion for locally sourced produce. While some guests expressed concerns about portion sizes and slow service, many highlighted the delicious food and welcoming ambiance of this restaurant.
Lots of fresh local seafood. The sticky pudding was a highlight. The staff is very friendly.
Warm welcome in a calm and peaceful atmosphere. Tasteful, neat decoration. The menu is reduced, deliberately. This is to allow a quality culinary experience. The boss welcomes us and speaks to us... In perfect French! The dishes are explained and recommended to us. A superb evening spent in this typical Irish restaurant. THANKS !
This restaurant offers high-quality food. Make sure to make reservations for dinner. They offer a choice of 2-course dinners. Our appetizers were particularly delicious. We had the Soba Noodles with roasted duck, toasted sesame oil, vegetable julienne, and star anise; and the Pan Fried Scallops with venison broth, lovage, celeriac, shiitake mushrooms, fried leeks, peas, pancetta, purple potato, and cream.
Absolutely lovely evening spent here. Food was excellent and a very high quality with loads of lovely flavours. The atmosphere was cosy and kind. It was not pretentious at all. The staff went above and beyond to make sure you had everything and enjoyed your evening.
Lovely night here. We had the brie and soba noodles as our starters and the lamb and pork belly as our mains. The staff were lovely and the food was amazing! The desserts were also perfect. Great atmosphere.
