This is a long standing bar and restaurant had lunch there recently standard of eating and service still excellent a sign in kinsale.

Loved this place, relaxed, busy, casual atmosphere. Food fantastic

Gin Tonic best thing on the menu! Before our meal, we decided to try a gin tonic made with Kinsale gin. Without a doubt (we drink Hendricks at home) this was the best ever! I'm sure other restaurants in Kinsale have the local gin, Jim Edwards was the first and only place we tried it. We kick ourselves because we didn't buy a bottle to take home with us! Now to Jim Edwards. Staffing was not an issue we had just about everyone in the restaurant stop by to ask if we were ready to order. Probably because we were enjoying the G&Ts we didn't order very quickly. I think both my daughter and I ordered the Spring Rolls as a main' but I'm not sure. If you can remember what you had for a meal, that pretty much says it all nondescript. Not bad/not good. We were also unfortunate that night because a large family group of 13 from the US were seated during our meal and it was bedlam. We couldn't hear ourselves talk, and while that is no reflection on Jim Edwards, it was off putting. We just wanted to get our of there as quickly as possible. Can't really recommend this other than sit in the bar and enjoy the local Kinsale gin and have a few chips!
