This restaurant is a nice find during a walk. There are only a few seats available for a drink, as it is mainly a gastro pub. They do not sell packets of crisps, but they can cook some for £1.50. I wish the staff had been friendlier and that I had noticed the small sign on the bar offering crisps. The food looked good and is priced at around £20 per plate, so I planned to return in the evening. However, I decided not to come back because I didn't want to spend that much money on my eight-year-old daughter if she ended up not liking the food. It would be helpful if they had a kids menu available, and they should inform customers about it.
This is a restaurant in the area that is pretty good. It used to have a Michelin star, and may still have one. A three-course meal will cost around £70-80, but the three mini brulee dessert is exceptional. The service is acceptable, but the hospitality is a bit cold. I have dined here 5 or 6 times and the food has always been excellent. The restaurant can sometimes feel exclusive, but if you overlook that, it is a great dining option.
