What Sean Casper doesn't like about The Merchant:
Witnessed the most extraordinary and appalling spectacle at this cafe which gets ok reviews. The owner got into a heated dispute with disgruntled customers, in front of the rest of the diners, told a woman to f off and then turned a waitress humiliating her until the poor woman was in tears and had to leave the premises!!! I went to the merchant last week, although I noticed that it is now called brasserie at the foreshore. the customer service was great, and the menu also looked fantastic. I had the pain perdu', which was French with speck and maple syrup. it was fantastic, and my juice was beautiful too. the caffe had a wonderful atmosphere and I will return definitiw!
