I thought there was a soy milk and a sandwich, honestly there was not much. small selection of fruit and vegetables, that is not bad, but a quantity of non-vegan things in comparison to the vegan selection. oh, and no vegan sandwich.

If they are looking for a cheap place to eat a fast lunch or snack on a plant basis, they are not looking further than the grocery basket. this small business in the inner city of kingston offers a lot of vegan baked goods, sandwiches, snacks and plant milk for their coffee and tees. there are also special foods that are local, organic and vegan. the dach terrace offers a beautiful view of kingston.

For the past 2 years I have been living in Downtown Kingston and have been shopping each week at Tara's. Every time I have come into the store, I have always been treated like family. Staff members like Vincent and Laura (2 of the 3 that I spoke with most, but that doesn't mean I am excluding anyone else I haven't named personally! have shown me such kindness. It is abundantly clear that they are absolute gems in every way!! Also, I would be completely remiss if I didn't mention Joanne. She has been the clerk with who I spent the most time getting to know. Let me just say that she is truly such a delightful/wonderful human being. From the moment I walked into the store, she always made me feel like I was at home. She has such a warmth and a caring to her character and from the bottom of my heart I want to say how much I have appreciated all of her kindness! One of my favourite joys was shopping and I could overhear her interactions with other customers. Her positive/loving energy just exudes love and compassion!!
