Went for a special occasion and everything was lovely. It's a classy establishment, with a nice view on the river. We had the group menu--soup or salad; steak, salmon or chicken; crème brûlée or cheese cake. Everyone enjoyed their meal. The beet salad was very good, as was the salmon, and there was a nice variety of vegetables. The deserts were also good. All in all, it was a nice choice for a special dinner. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about River Mill Restaurant:
While visiting our daughter and son in law for a special occasion we decided to go to River Mill. We had reservations which were not needed as the restaurant was basically empty. Our server was friendly, but not the level f professionalism that is required in a restaurant of the (supposed quality). Our reservation was for 6:30. We ordered by 7:00 and did not receive our order until almost 8:30!! Totally unacceptable.... View all feedback.
Excellent restaurant, one of the best meals I had in years
A beautiful location but the food was absolutely awesome, starters were excellent, the main was the best steak I've ever had, the dessert was so good I had to steal an extra one from the person who wasn't eating it (their loss). We took over the whole place for a wedding party and it was a very successful party, staff were excellent servers.
Best restaurant experience my wife and I have had for years. Exceptional service and the food was great. I had the hangar steak prix fixe special and my wife had the gnocchi and the octopus calamari. It's not cheap, but it was worth every dollar and more.
The food was exquisite and Greg our waiter made our evening fun!
We were a group of 12 for a private birthday lunch. We had a 3 choice menu. Soup or salad, pasta or salmon or chicken. For dessert a flourlless chocolate torte or creme brulée. I chose the salad, salmon and creme brulée. The salad was very good. The salmon, a generous portion, perfectly cooked served on a bed of Quinoa with some under cooked carrots and a red ?and 1/2 a Brussel sprout. The creme Brulée had a rock hard top served in a ramekin straight from the fridge; topped with a few fresh berries. This dessert is usually served at room temperature.. My husband had the Asparagus soup, excellent. The chicken, overcooked=too dry but the vegetables served with it were fine. He had the chocolate Torte and coffee . Also fine. Service was excellent and the atmosphere is nice too. The chairs need attention... Probably more obvious in the daylight than at night..
