Contribute FeedbackBlack Dog Tavern, formerly known as Chien Noir, has received mixed reviews. While some diners found the food overpriced and lacking in flavor, others praised the gluten-free options and attentive service. The ambience has also been a point of contention, with some mentioning a lack of charm and warmth. However, there were positive comments on the cocktail hour, charcuterie tray, oysters, and attentive waitstaff. The dedicated gluten-free fryer was highlighted as a major plus for those with celiac disease. Overall, opinions on Black Dog Tavern vary, with some patrons vowing to return while others were left disappointed.
The food was so delicious. My husband loved the liver and onions. Our server was fantastic and made sure everything was was to our liking. We had a fantastic relaxing meal with friends from out of town. We were all very impressed with our food choices.
Cocktail hour (3-5) was great, appetizer even better and our waiter,Brandon, was as good if not better than the cocktails and food....looking forward to returning...
Great food, great service! Excellent atmosphere with perfect sound system. Music that moves and yet you can still converse at a normal tone.
We had an awesome lunch...great service, excellent food..our first time there and we will be back
One of the best steaks I’ve ever had. I will be back!
