The burgers were dry and flavorless and our waitress was ok at best. Hopefully it was an off day, but I can guarantee it will be awhile before we go again.

Nothing fancy, just good affordable food that you can tell was made by someone who actually cares. And they have a great selection of Michigan craft beer ! Don't think anywhere else in the area is gonna beat this place for me.

A relic gem of years bygone. Rightfully named “The Center of the Universe.” Robert Heck is a second generation bartender extraordinaire. Seventy years in the restaurant business means something people. A time capsule of the nineteen seventies. The decor has never changed but amazing modern beer and cocktail selections abound. Be sure not to skip extra cheese on the best hamburger you have ever had in your life. Get the Velveeta and have no regrets or food envy. No elevated uppity food in here just perfectly prepared classics. Small town locals and out-of-owners intermingle to the sounds of the juke box. Pool table, claw machine. Kid friendly, casual atmosphere. Centrally located between Caseville and Port Austin. Five minutes off the beach highway. P.S. Disregard all negative reviews and haters. I would like to take some of the duck tape off the seats and place it over their mouths. They just don’t get it. This may be the best bar in the whole world.

Our food was overcooked, making it dry, tough, and hard to eat. The owner was friendly and accommodating, and the prices were reasonable. I've heard great things about their burgers and seafood, but unfortunately, I didn't try them this time. My mistake.

The service was somewhat sluggish,... read more The atmosphere at this Huco bar is still enjoyable. However, I was disappointed with the Heckleburger during my recent visit. The service was somewhat sluggish, but the owner intervened to address the issue. I've ordered Heckleburgers at least once or twice a year without any complaints until now. Previously, my experiences were positive, but this time there was an excess of fat in the burger, which led me to only eat half and leave the remainder on the table. Additionally, the parchment papers were soggy, and the presentation didn't align with the images shared by other reviewers.

The service... read more The atmosphere at Heck’s is as enjoyable as ever, capturing the classic HuCo bar vibe. However, I wasn’t a fan of the Heckleburger this time around. The service took a bit longer than I would have preferred, but the owner noticed and personally stepped in. I usually order from Heck’s once or twice a year without any issues, and everything has always been great in the past. This time, though, my burger was dripping with too much grease, and I could only eat half, leaving the rest on the table. The parchment paper was completely soaked, and it didn’t resemble any of the photos shared by other reviewers.

Our food was overcooked, resulting in a dry, tough meal that was hard to enjoy. The owner was friendly and chatty, which was a plus. Prices are reasonable. I've heard great things about their burgers and fish dinners, but unfortunately, I didn't try them this time. That was my mistake.
