The Brehon - Killarney

During my stay at the Brehan hotel, I decided to try out the Danu restaurant. It was a fantastic experience - the food was delicious and meticulously prepared, and the staff were attentive and welcoming. I would highly recommend dining at this restaurant.

During our stay at The Brehon, we arrived late and decided to have dinner at the hotel restaurant. The service was a bit lacking in attentiveness. The mushroom soup was served piping hot and packed with flavor. The crispy scampi was beautifully presented and tasted great. However, the chicken salad was disappointing as the chicken was extremely overcooked and difficult to cut. The almond pear tart, on the other hand, was absolutely delicious.

This was an overall wonderful experience. The flavors of the dishes were excellent and perfectly prepared. Chad's management was commendable. However, the standout feature was the exceptional service. The staff was incredibly attentive, consistently checking in to see if we needed anything. It was a thoroughly enjoyable dining experience.

Very good menu choice both a la carte and set menu. Also good wine choice including good house wines. All four of us were very happy with our dinner.

We had a lovely break, busy walking and exploring all Killarney has to offer. We loved meeting Adrian at breakfast, always so welcoming and sets you right for the day with a smile and a chat, with that same welcome for dinner in the evening it’s a pleasure to dine at the Danu! We couldn’t have asked to be looked after any better than this. Thank you!
