The Brehon - Killarney

Very good menu choice both a la carte and set menu. Also good wine choice including good house wines. All four of us were very happy with our dinner.

We had a lovely break, busy walking and exploring all Killarney has to offer. We loved meeting Adrian at breakfast, always so welcoming and sets you right for the day with a smile and a chat, with that same welcome for dinner in the evening it’s a pleasure to dine at the Danu! We couldn’t have asked to be looked after any better than this. Thank you!

We had our son's Confirmation in the Danu restaurant, it was outstanding, food was top class. Adrian was fabulous on the day, nothing was a problem. Caitriona, the events manager, was so accommodating and designed the day around us. I have absolutely no hesitation recommending this fabulous venue. Thanks to all at the Brehon. Staff were excellent- friendly and attentive. The food (set course menu) was decent but nothing to write home about. The setting is nice and in theme with the rest of the hotel but the staff are certainly the stand out positive for this restaurant.

I had high hopes for my partner's birthday dinner tonight, but unfortunately, our experience fell short of expectations. The dinner and staff were delightful at the beginning. I had requested a candle with my boyfriend's dessert when making the reservation, but it was not brought out as promised. Instead, we found a hair in the dessert, which was not the surprise we were hoping for. Although the dessert was comped, a candle-lit dessert was brought out for another guest, which was disappointing. Additionally, my partner never received a drink he had ordered 30 minutes prior to leaving, and it was added to the bill. Despite receiving a voucher as a gift, I decided not to use it due to the poor service. It's a shame that such a beautiful restaurant made such avoidable mistakes.
