Scarriff Inn
Description
The Scarriff Inn, located along the Ring of Kerry, offers efficient service and delicious food, making it a popular stop for tour groups. While the prices may be a bit high, the stunning views of the bay and hills more than make up for it. The Shepherd's Pie was a standout dish, with a side salad adding freshness to the meal. Despite some expensive drink options, the hot chocolate and Bailey's coffee were delightful. Make sure to have your camera ready to capture the picturesque surroundings. The Scarriff Inn is a must-stop destination on the Ring of Kerry, famous for what it calls Ireland 's Best Known View . This family-run spot in Caherdaniel overlooks the stunning Kenmare Bay and Derrynane. The Experience The View: Breathtaking, million-dollar vistas of the Atlantic coast and lush green hills are the main draw. The Vibe: It operates as a busy, well-organized stop primarily for tour groups, featuring a cafeteria-style setup designed to get large crowds in and out efficiently. The Food: While some find the quality average or tourist-priced, others highly recommend the Seafood Chowder, Irish Lamb Stew, and Shepherd’s Pie. Added Perks: There is a large gift shop filled with local souvenirs and Skellig-themed items, as well as a cozy fireplace for blustery days. Pro Tip: If you want a window seat with a view, try to arrive either very early or late to avoid the peak tour bus hours
We ate lunch here as part of a Ring of Kerry tour. Good food, great views, unique stop. Would visit again!
