We recently stopped at Helen's Bar for lunch and were extremely impressed. Everything we ordered was fabulous - fresh and deliciously presented. My partner had the fish and I had an open sandwich, both of which we shared. We couldn't resist the beautiful homemade desserts and left feeling fully satisfied for the day. Helens And Bed Breakfast is a typical country pub located in a remote village on the Beara Peninsula. The menu offers good beer and occasionally excellent food. We enjoyed a prawn cocktail starter that was fantastic, although the salmon main course was slightly dry. The prices were very reasonable, and the service was excellent. View all feedback.
The hottest September Sunday and we rocked up here … parked our VW van in the carpark and found a table on the pier. The place was going like a fair . Live music when we arrived and food served until about 9pm . The food was super fresh and tasty. The staff work very hard on what was a shift from hell busy .
Fantastic... everything at Helen's Bar.!!! Fish and chips top quality, and value. Ambience and warmth of the staff make this place Magic. ! We holidayed in area and ate at Helen's 3 times over the week. Also one night my husband and son played guitar, bazooki, sang in the bar and enjoyed the craic. Helen made us so very welcome. A lovely lady. Thanks again hope to call again when we next down your way.
Amazing food and super friendly staff. We stopped here twice on our holiday and both times the staff were so helpful, they couldn't do enough for us. The food is hearty and delicious and Helen herself is a gem. I would recommend anyone to stop off at helens for some food and a gorgeous pint of Guinness
Fabulous place, not to be missed. Ideal for overnight stay and food. Very reasonable prices. Great service and knowledgeable, helpful, efficient staff. Well done all, at Helen's, Kilmakillogue.
Very local b&b. Lite snacks and some seafood dishes available here. Don't expect speedy service chill and watch the world pass through
