Good restaurant and excellent br... read more Well located in centre of Kilkenny. Free parking available. Nice spacious room with decent shower and large TV. Friendly staff. Good restaurant and excellent breakfast. Number of bars to choose from. The excellent Set Theatre is part of the complex. Kilkenny is a great vibrabt and historic city to visit, and one of my favourites in Ireland. Langtons is not cheap, but on balance offers value compared to extortionate hotel rates in Dublin, Galway Cork. Langtons hold lots of weddings and functions and is often very busy. We will be back.

Firstly, food was top class, couldn't ask for more. Reception and venue in the set bar was excellent and a lovely outdoor area. The staff were very nice and hospitable. Free spacious carpark on site. Top class venue

Lady serving us was neither pleasant nor unpleasant, just bland. Food was awful. Ordered the chicken burger and was nervous when it arrived out too quickly as you would expect to wait for chicken breast burger to be cooked. It was tough and dry and not good. My husband had beef burger and similar complaint. Had put 1 hour in parking meter new to city and unaware of hotel parking so parked on street. and we were back in car with 15mins left on ticket. Would not return nor recommend

However, there is one thing missing in... read more This is probably my favourite hotel in Ireland, never mind Kilkenny!. I've been here many times and it never disappoints. However, there is one thing missing in the beautiful room we had. That is a mini fridge, they used to have them before COVID, but they took them out and never put them back. That's my only gripe as this hotel is a wonderful experience, food was beautiful, especially breakfast. Henry looked after us so well, he was very efficient and friendly, and nothing was a problem. I would always recommend this hotel.
