Lanigans is a family-run traditional Irish bar and restaurant in Kilkenny. Dining at this restaurant proved to be a mixed bag for patrons. Some enjoyed the friendly staff, live music, delicious food, and good prices. Others experienced slow service, out-of-date snacks, messy surroundings, and unavailability of certain menu items. However, the general consensus was that the food was tasty, the atmosphere was cozy, and the bar was welcoming. Despite some shortcomings, visitors appreciated the effort put into COVID safety measures and the availability of gluten-free options. Overall, despite some hiccups, the restaurant/bar showed potential for a pleasant experience.
Nice bar. Drinking murphys. Absolutely fantastic drink. Two girls Emily and grainne serving are excellent. Friendly, chatty welcoming. Bit of a smell of sewage close to the bar. Clean toilets. Would definitely pop in again.
We went to eat on our excursion to Kilkenny We ordered two burgers, one of them gluten-free and both were perfect!! It is appreciated that there are gluten-free options for many of the dishes.
Great sport and music gets lively but good fun we tried to eat but couldn’t get a table would go again and in fact we did ! Liverpool beat Spurs so went away happy great atmosphere and good mix of people great music what’s not to LOVE
