The only time we’d had poutine was in Victoria, BC. It was salty and fairly tasteless. Looking for something different and seeing the high reviews, we decided to try Just Put In. The owners were charming. The food was great. I had La Tabarnack poutine with mushrooms and onions both visits. The beef gravy was so rich and the curds weren’t “squeaky” as we recalled from or Canada trip. The dipping sauce for the coconut shrimp set it aside from others we’ve had. We’ll go back when we return next year. Maybe twice.

They also offer the option to add bacon, sautéed onions and mushrooms, and even an egg for an extra touch. All of this is paired with friendly staff who engage with every new customer, making you feel like part of the family. I can't wait to return for more!
