Reviews - Asda
Reviews summary
Asda Café has garnered mixed reviews, illustrating a place that is evolving but not without its faults. While the supermarket itself is praised for its wide selection and great service, the café experience can be hit or miss. Diners mention improvements in food quality, particularly a more appealing menu, yet some recent visits have resulted in disappointing meals, characterized by cold and overcooked items. Despite inconsistent food experiences, the friendly staff, especially in customer service, consistently receive accolades. Overall, Asda Café shows promise, but diners hope for continued improvements in culinary execution.

I just came back from this restaurant. What a disaster! Empty cardboard scattered everywhere. Sort it out Asda, it's a complete disgrace!
I had a problem with the promotion they were offering for Schweppes Slimline Lemonade 2L - buy 3 for £3. I bought 3 bottles, but when I looked at the receipt afterwards, I saw that I was charged £1.45 each, totaling £4.35. "Multibuy Savings" are only beneficial if they are applied at the time of purchase. I appreciate the customer service for refunding me the discount that I didn't receive initially. Otherwise, I would have given them a 1-star review.
Online pickup boxes broken. Had to go into store. The store is super dirty. Lottery unit has clean me written on it in thick dust,
I had a terrible experience at this restaurant! The scanner screen was dirty, and I had to wash my hands after using it. The bathrooms were also messy. The store was untidy, with clothes and boxes on the floor and unattended cages in front of the shelves. There was low stock and many items were missing. I had to face up a shelf myself because there were two empty boxes in front of the product I wanted to buy. Most of the staff were in groups gossiping, including the scan shop employees. Overall, it was a dreadful experience.

Great supermarket with great selection of food. The service is always great, the shelves are always full of food and drink. They always have a good choice of clothes.
They do a very good breakfast and you get 10% off on Wednesday. nice and clean friendly staff . Christmas lunch was very disappointing but other meals very good.
We haven't been to Asda cafe since before the start of the pandemic, we used to go regularly for lunch when we did our shopping. Went in there today what a disappointment, we used to love the sausages in a nap so we thought we would go for them. The bap was doughy cold which made the sausages cold as well, I took 1 bite that was enough, cold claggy horrible. Even my husband couldn't eat his hes not a fussy eater. Won't be going back.
Went to Asda in Kettering, to their cafe now run by a firm called Compass, what a disappointment, the food was dry and over cooked, the portion would not have fed a teenager. You could count the chips on your plate, the fish was that small and wafer thin there was no fish hardly on it, and the mushy peas were like glue. My granddaughters chicken nuggets were over cooked and struggle to bite them and the few chips she got were either burnt or crispy. Why oh why did Asda give up their cafes, they certainly turned out better food than the rubbish they serve up now, won’t be eating in any more of there cafes while run by this new company. It is not even comfortable or inviting in there, just cold and bland.
