What Vernice Kilback doesn't like about Max Brenner Chocolate Bar:
Max Brenner in Sydney appears to be different than in NYC. Here, you can only order desserts (no steaks or other real food). It's a cute place that is more like a coffee shop than a restaurant. The chocolate lava cake was good.

This place is clearly a great place to hang out and is always busy on a uni day. This branch has an outdoor and indoor seating which makes it ideal to enjoy the weather and sip on that amazing hot chocolate which comes in their cute hugmug. The waffle with icecream n fruits was yum too. The prices are slightly on the higher side but guess the quality of the chocolate n taste compensates for it! View all feedback.

read moreMax Brenner in Sydney offers a unique dining experience compared to its NYC counterpart, focusing solely on desserts rather than a full menu. The restaurant has a cozy coffee shop vibe and is located in the restaurant area at the lower campus of UNSW. The chocolate options are plentiful, with highlights such as the chocolate lava cake and the tutti-frutti waffle. While some find the prices a bit steep, the quality of the chocolate and taste make up for it. The salted caramel hot chocolate is a fan favorite, served in a charming hugmug, although some have noted it could be hotter. The outdoor and indoor seating options make it an ideal spot to enjoy a treat and hang out, especially on busy uni days. The 80's milkshake is described as sweet and delicious, while other menu items like the chocolate fondue and crunchy ball chocolate are praised for their high-quality ingredients. If you're craving a sweet indulgence near UNSW, Max Brenner is worth the wait.
