Was Anonym at Koala Cafe a mag?
We were staying for a weekend away in Wye River Big4, we came for dinner here one night for a casual dinner. Exactly what we wanted, hamburger, awesome steak sandwich, pie and pizza. Don't miss the back 'dining' room, nice hot fire and tv. Staff really friendly. View all feedback.
What Anonym dislikes about Koala Cafe:
Two small instant noodle (priced 2.50 each) including hot water charged total 10 dollars! Rest of the food price is more expensive then other places. Definitely not recommended to buy anything there. View all feedback.

We stopped for a bite of lunch. Lovely pies and hot dogs with the lot. The cakes were also delicious and reasonably priced. Make sure you buy some bird seed and head up grey river road or beside the caravan park. Loads of sulphur crested cockatoos, ducks, rosellas and king parrots. Saw 3 koalas in the nearby area at varying heights. The resident kookabura were also a treat.
We drove past and decided to stop by and checked this place off our list. I was reluctant to stop at first but after visiting, I knew I was not wrong! Once we parked, a kookaburra was as described on the fence outside Cafe Koala! It was really exciting to see a real living as all the artists in Melbourne described and mound them in clay. Of course the more common are the ducks, fowls and parrots that we only get to see in our zoo but here, they are just walking you. As we towards the river, we sighted a big animal up the hill and it was a kangaroo and seeing them in the wild is very different from seeing them in a zoo/sanctuary. It was an amazing feeling seeing them hop in the wild looking for food. As we thought it was quite done, we went to the toilets and when walking out to get our car, a koala was just sitting on a tree that is just so low and visible. It was awake for the few seconds and it went back to sleep! I was telling my hubby we are just so lucky to spot so many wildlife here and it had been really exciting and full of surprises! It's a must stop while driving in GOR!!
I stopped by this charming café for a quick break during my tour of the Great Ocean Road. The staff was incredibly friendly and kind. I decided to grab a raspberry cookie for a snack and it was absolutely delicious!
