Used to be one of my favorite places to eat, however the saying all good things must come to an end is right in the case of this awful place, the only positive... read more Used to be one of my favorite places to eat, however the saying all good things must come to an end is right in the case of this awful place, the only positive is most of the girls that work there are super sweet and friendly. I've been getting the same exact thing for a while and the other day I was told that they can't do it anymore. It's been perfectly fine until now all of a sudden. Prices going up, quality going down, don't stop to eat here if you are in a hurry, or call 15 minutes before you get there. A message to the ownership, the individual in charge needs to be set free from any leadership position. You're not gonna stay in business when the manager deliberately runs off your loyal regulars!!! Waffle house, and other fuel stops are just a tad bit north!! So very disappointed in that one individual ruining it for everyone!! I cant in good conscience eat here again until the problem is fixed!! I'm gonna try and talk to somebody in person to see if this can be fixed!! I've spent thousands of dollars here over the years. Won't get my money again until something gives!

Planned... read more One of my favorite truck stops however last time I rolled in despite hours being listed as having a 10pm closing time the restaurant was closed at 9pm. Planned my whole day around stopping here for dinner, fuel, sleep. Ended up back tracking one exit to Kenly 95 where the Iron Skillet stays open until 11pm.

It was cafe/ fast food style order and pay at the counter before you get food and you serve your own drink. They do bring food to the table. But very small choice of food options. Food wasn't even edible and no refill on my coffee. Service was disappointing also. Store and bathrooms were clean. Seemed over priced and I didn't eat the breakfast scrambled eggs were brown,grits were too salty served in a Styrofoam bowl. Managed to eat the black burnt dry toast no jam was offered.Won't be returning to eat here.

When I asked how much of the greens were left the ladybehind the counter replied ?not much ? ? I was going to get hamburger stake she acted very uninterested or willing to do thateither . This is not my first experience where they started cleaning up/putting the food away/ acting like your aninconvenience. I?ve been working all day long and fast food gets very old fast so having somewhere with something like a homecooked meal that allows truck parking is ideal and kind of exciting in a way. It?s unfortunate this restaurant makes you feel asyou are an inconvenience when truthfully you just would like a hot meal at the end of your work day/ being on the road all day .
