White Spot - Kelowna

White Spot restaurants are popping up all over (including the BC ferries). These family friendly restaurants offer moderately priced food with a wide spectrum menu. I had the Ahi Tuna Salad, which while not quite a Poke-stack, is headed in the right direction.

Great food, quick and friendly service. Would definitely recommend to others and will go back. Great location.

I called ahead and made reservations for our party of 10, and we were seated immediately. Decent food, nothing special but not bad at all. Apparently the chicken fettuccini my cousins had was excellent, however. That being said, the fellow we had serving us was fantastic. He was pleasant, prompt and very professional. Also gave the toddler in our group an extra chocolate gold coin, which she was thrilled about. All in all, I would come again.

The food is reasonably priced and tastes ok, but nothing special. My daughter got a cute pirate ship with her kids meal but her burger was raw. Very unsafe to serve a child raw hamburger.

We were lucky to have legitimate reason to enjoy the Pirate Pack, served by Whitespot on the second Wednesday of August, with $2 of each meal going to charity. We sat in the lounge part to avoid the busier restaurant area. Two of us enjoyed tasty beers brewed for Whitespot. The food was okay, although not as good as I remembered in the drive-in in Vancouver 30-odd years ago... The veggie burger was soggy - not cooked enough but the portabello mushroom on top were tasty. My Legendary burger was quite well done - a bit dry. But the server was very friendly and pleasant. The kitchen needs to focus a bit more on burger cooking - veggie burgers a bit more well done, meat burgers not quite so well done...
