My Neighbourhood Restaurant Kelowna

Went there for the fourth time this September with my friend on an Okanagan wine tour.

Took me a few days to decide whether I would post this review of my once favorite establishment, but I'm still feeling disappointed, so here goes.

Very nice place for a high end dinnerService was attentive and our server made conversation with us at appropriate times.

Had Sunday breakfast here with the family. Recommend reservations if you can, otherwise you may have 10-15 minute wait. Very friendly staff. Lots of selection for menu. Recommend classic breakfast.

I have come to this restaurant several times for breakfast and have yet to be disappointed; however, I branched out this morning and got the Eggs Benny, which turned out to be a bad choice. I'm no Eggs Benny connoisseur, but this was not good at all. The hollandaise sauce was quite thick and it reminded of me pudding almost. The eggs were poached beautifully, so I will give them that. Their homemade biscuit was so salty that I couldn't even finish it. It was like I was eating a salt cube. The meat to biscuit ratio, in terms of proportion was very off - there was far more biscuit than ham. I did mention the saltiness of the biscuit to my waitress and she was very nice about it. She said she would let the cook know and she took a couple bucks off of my bill which was a very nice gesture. I have never had an issue with any other breakfast item(s) from their menu and the staff is always pleasant. This restaurant has a nice atmosphere and it is kept clean. I'll still go for breaky there, but I will pass on their Eggs Benny.
