Mekong Restaurant - Kelowna

Absolutely the worst place i have ever been to, horrible customer service, the owner was horrendous, i couldn’t believe it. i have been in the serving industry for over 25 years and have never seen anyone treat there customers so bad. we ordered a drink and it came out wrong, asked to get the right one politely , the server was amazing, the owner that came out yelling and being rude was not. she also made us pay for the two drinks she made that were wrong, argued and treated us all very poorly. our bill was well over 250 dollars, food was mediocre. the owner should not own a business. i wouldn’t step foot in this place again and would recommend no one else to either. save your money and go to somewhere where they treat there customers a lot nicer than this place.

My husband just visited the restaurant with a takeaway order that was clearly highlighted on the menu, that we had picked up earlier. The young lady that greated him was rude blunt and unhelpful. She thrust the card reader in his face with no acknowledgement of the order or the price. My husband exited the restaurant.....obviously they do not need the custom

We had a group buffet dinner. There was a lot of food, they catered well to vegetarians. The food was generally bland and the noodles soggy. It filled the hole and it was well set up for big groups.

We have ordered from Mekong before. Until about a year ago it was first class Chinese food. Not anymore. A few months ago I ordered 2 Large Hot and Sour soup and a few other dishes for delivery. Upon opening the bag we discovered they substituted Wonton. I don’t care for Wonton so I telephoned them. The order taker told me it was my mistake. She said I ordered Wonton. Thinking well anyone can make a mistake yesterday I ordered One large Hot and Sour soup. Now priced at $16.99 for pick up. At home decided to check how many shrimp included. Not one! Other than a few vegetables what is left is broth.$16.99 for broth. Any bets that I will ever order anything from this fraudulent restaurant again? Sadly what used to be a great place is now less than ordinary.

We ordered delivery of all of our long time favorites but were VERY disappointed. The portions were very small and the sauces for all entries were packed separately, leaving us to mix our own. The chicken entrees were hard and very unappetizing! The almond chicken was flour dough and chicken grizzle. It was over priced and the recipes for all our favorites has changed so much, it's just not the same. We will never order again!
