Best chippy around Been in a load of chipshops over the years none as good as bridge road.

Visited this chip shop today for lunch whilst working in the area. What can I say! The fish just fell apart and tasted great. The chips were amazing having being cooked in beef dripping ie properly. Then there was the black pudding that I had to try. Simply gorgeous! All in all one of the best chip shops I’ve been to in a long time!

I am very particular about my fish and chips. The fish should be good quality haddock and it should be fried in beef dripping. Not only that, but the making of the batter is in art form in itself and poor quality batter can ruin otherwise good fish and chips. Fortunately, this fish shop ticks all the boxes. The fish is top quality and fried to perfection. I like mine well done and the proprietor is quite happy to cook it just as I like it.
