I called spontaneously after I was stuck in traffic by roadwork and wow, I am glad that I did it! absolutely beautiful! perfectly boiled fish and right chippy chips! large portion size and good value for money. the personal is refreshingly friendly and obligated. they do not seem to make talks to them, they are actually natural with their customers! would recommend them! 5 stars above the board. What 336lync doesn't like about Greengate Fisheries:
This was our first time having lunch at this fish shop, which is located locally. We were very disappointed with our experience. The chips we ordered were very small and of poor quality - they were greasy, transparent, and fatty. My fish dish, although large, was swimming in grease and was practically inedible. Amazing Authentic Fish Chips. It reminds me that there are still some out there despite been continually disappointed closer to home going further afield was worth it. Absolutely recommended!

This is such a great chippie. We use it a couple of times a month and it's ALWAYS good. The batter is crispy and a nice colour, the fish is nice and white, really tasty. The chips are great exactly what you want from chip shop chips. Nothing soggy, lovely golden colour! I like that it's a proper fish and chip shop and doesn't mess around with other extras, it does one thing and really well. The staff are lovely, so friendly but also do a great job. Even our 16 month old looks forward to getting fish and chips from there as a little treat sometimes now! If we moved out of the area, we'd come back to visit for the fish and chips
Really nice fish and chips, although the sausages are overcooked. Good sized portions. Friendly owners and staff.
