What VictoriaSchultz doesn't like about Kaya's:
I really love this restaurant, the food is delicious and the staff are very friendly. I have visited a few times and it seems like they frequently change items in their bakery section. It appears that it is someone's responsibility to make sure the labels for "GF" or "V" are accurate. However, the staff taking orders may not always be aware of which items are actually vegan or gluten-free, leading to confusion. For e... View all feedback.
Kaya's quiche is well worth our long drive plus the 30 minute wait time!! It was so creamy and delicious! Besides the quiche, we also tried their black bean burger and veggie sandwich. Both tasted so good and so fresh! Their case of baked goodies is a snacker's paradise! We tried their GF granola bars and they were sublime! My friend got their cardamom rose mocha and said it was the best coffee he'd ever had! Their build-your-own smoothie is such a fun and refreshing experience, so are their on-the-tap kombuchas! The cafe is small with just a single table outdoors. They have shelves along the walls lined with interesting local handmade stuff. They seem to get very busy during brunch hours so I recommend placing an online order and picking up the food to have a nice picnic on a beach!
Cute place on the highway 11 south of kailua kona. good smoothies and delicious lunch options.
Really delicious sandwiches, we had the flt and the veggie sandwich with the green smoothie. amazing sandos with reasonable trips. great mood with many beautiful artworks and jewelry. the only thing that is a bit of a bummer is that they still have eggs and cheese products and cow juice is the standard in coffee drinks. a great place for a quick bite.
This has a true laid back feeling of a roadside coffee shop that also serves sandwiches, bagels and sweet treats. We ordered the bean burger, a “salami” sandwich, and soup of the day. The bean burger was excellent and tasted like homemade goodness whereas the salami sandwich tasted like something I could make at home when I’m in a hurry: nothing special and overpriced. The soup was good. I would come back and try the bagels and sweet treats but it doesn’t get 5 stars because there’s room for improvement.
