We only ate at the restaurant. Did you know you can have their famous Pork Chops for breakfast? Just ask! My husband and I both had their Full Breakfast which included Coffee, Papaya, 2 Eggs, and a choice of meat (chops) I had a side order of French Toast and he added Bacon and Portuguese Sausage?? This restaurant is a foundation wall of the local community that serves good comfort and friendly service. if we come back to Kona, that's one thing.
Simple, but effective. a historical Japanese-Hawaiian institution. the Miso butterfish is the best on the menu. I never command anything else. the steaks and black jerseys are in order. side are also simple, but pretty good.

This is the place to get authentic Japanese Hawaii food next to teshima. this restaurant has been close for over 100 years and a family hotel with a rich history in kona. a cozy, mama and pop restaurant with friendly staff. we have the opelu 17), which is a fried fish. super tasty and tender. they also receive free pages with their order.
