The food is unique, fresh and delicious with generous appetizer and entrée portions. The owner obviously takes a lot of pride in his restaurant in every way. Greets all the guests at their table and holds the door open as they leave if he is in the dining room. Highly recommend this for a new experience you will want to incorporate into your routine View all feedback.
What Hal Kautzer doesn't like about Astor Farm To Table:
Just horrible! From the moment I enter and sat down because a reservation was made. While sitting no waiter came to get my drink order. Yes, I understand it’s Valentines Day and a lot of business aren’t use overflow, but when it comes to different occasions all hands need to be on the deck. Manager came over , after someone decided to take our drink orders. Food was bland and not correct , sent it back for correction... View all feedback.
I had heard so many good things about Astor, I was expecting more. We decided to go for Mother’s Day since it was a special occasion and could make a reservation. I looked to see if there was a special menu listed anywhere but couldn’t find anything. So when we were seated and handed a menu, we were shocked to see that they had about items, which also included a beef empanada, dessert and a special gift bag for mom at per person. Knowing how busy every other place was on Mother’s Day morning, and seeing as how there were seven tables with people sat, we decided to go ahead and stay. I ordered the Healthy Benedict, which is just eggs on tomatoes. The waitress brought everyone’s food except for mine, and said it was going to be two minutes. minutes later, a manager came over and asked if we needed something because my husband was trying to get someone’s attention. I asked to just have my item taken off the bill since my family was just about done with their meals and I was kinda over it by this time. The manager assured me that they would rush my order and have it out straight away. more minutes later, I see some food coming out of the kitchen. I told my family that I was ready to go if some of it wasn’t mine. I watched as many servers were preparing to drop food at a big top party of about people. Watched all of the food go out but nothing for me So when our waitress came back, we asked again to just have the item taken off because we were ready to go. She apologized. She brought us the check, we paid and left. Then after we get home, I commented on someone else’s post on Facebook explaining what happened. The owner responded how happy he was to have served so many people that day and how much time they spent making gift bags!! That’s when I remembered we didn’t get our dessert and I didn’t get my gift bag either. Owners comments were dismissive at best. Seems like he’s just interested in the money
They were out of quite a bit of things. Particularly wine, appetizers and the food was just OK
Food was good! Service was a little off so that set the tone. This was on our list of restaurants to visit and we did
Nothing “farm to table” about this place. If you like ketchup this is your place. Over-priced mediocre food. A disappointment from start to finish
The food is incredible our guests truly enjoyed their meals. The service was decent nothing over the top, but it will not effect our decision to return. We will be back
