Tried the chicken salad and chicken club sandwiches on sourdough bread and they were both delicious! The pineapple vegan ice cream was also SO yummy! I would definitely recommend bbsKauai to anyone who loves fresh, local eats with excellent customer service.

We had 2 BB burgers, BLT, grilled cheese, and the Cruz. My boys loved the Burgers, My wife and I both really enjoyed our sandwiches, the BLT and the Cruz. My daughter who normally doesn't eat much when we are out, finished half of hergrilled cheese. Unfortunately I'm terrible with names, but what we liked best was how friendly, I'll call him the owner, was. Hekept us informed on the food status. He was also a wealth of information on places to visit around Kauai. We definitelyrecommend stopping here for the really good food and conversation.

I just wa... read more I ate lunch here yesterday and returned for dinner today! Today I ordered the chicken tamale platter, so now I can also rave about the rice and beans. I just want to say again how delicious the masa is on these tamales. I only ate one tamale, I thinkthey are good sized. Leftover will be for lunch or breakfast?! The rice does not have any fillers, like carrots or peas. Ithad great flavor and I only needed to add some salt. I make my rice with fresh tomatoes and a whole onion, but that?s how mygrandmother made it and I?ve never had it that way anywhere. The beans were great too, not totally smashed, just right! Youguys might see me back before I leave Kauai!

The tamales here are very good, albeit on the smallish side. The masa is cooked well and the beef tamal is interesting since it also has olives in the filling. The chicken is very good and the pumpkin is unique never had one like this before. The riceand beans are tasty too. Prices are fair.
