Taste Island Grill - Kansas City

Small space. Food was pretty good, but a tad bit pricey (about $45 for two bowls and two bottle drinks). I’ll likely be back to try the wings.

Can’t find a beef patty that’s actually decently edible in KC and this place I’ve tried more than once. The shell was hard, I had to break the edges off. I literally didn’t even eat the second beef patty because of disappointment. There comes a point in time where you would think the business recognizes that they’re putting out a very lame subpar product and maybe take corrective measures. But no this beef patty continues to disappoint and I think I go here because it’s close to my house, but no more. Hoping the rice and beans will be better but I haven’t tried them yet and they only have Coco bread sometimes.

The service here was so putrid.Lady behind the counter must be so miserable with the way she treats people.I would give it another try but she single handily ruined that chance.

Out of four options ordered food was not good. I like Jamaican food. But not here. I ordered jerk chicken bowl and couldn't tell if it was pork. Way too pricey

This place is soooooo tasty! I dream about their food. Only knocking them because it was dirty inside. We order takeout instead of eating in, but I’m sure if we ate in more often, we’d order and eat more of their food!
