A KANSAS CITY MUST TRY EXPERIENCE! 5 STAR!This is a go to date night place for my husband and I. We 've brought so many people here and recommend it to any one traveling to KC. Nothing but great service, food and atmosphere every time. It 's hard to choose what to order because everything is absolutely delicious. What Morghan Borders doesn't like about Society:
The food is mid, and they ran out of bottomless mimosas. We didn’t even know they ran out, until we asked; since it’s been 30 min since our last refill. We only had two.The club part is great, but would not recommend brunch. View all feedback.

My husband loves the old fashioned whiskeys from the Scarlet Room and I love Palauxma mocktails. The Scarlet Room has a speak easy feel, with the dim lighting and deep red velvet seating. The main area is more of an open, fun, high energy night out on the town feel . Really perfect for any occasion.
We had a reservation for 9 people, so we had to call in to make the reservation- the owner said we could early to have a drink at the Scarlet Room prior to dinner @7:30. We get there and Scarlet Room is closed; it opens at 10pm. Service was not great but they may just be short staffed. It took nearly 30mins for our drinks, over an hour to get our food. The food was horrendous. We came here for Restaurant Week and we 're excited to try a lot of things. Everything was absolutely horrible. Steaks were thin and overcooked, Mashed potatoes were box mix with raw garlic, lava cakes dinner have ice cream, the cilantro lime rice was just white rice with corn sour cream on top, and drinks were super syrupy. They ran out of other dessert items and no one told us until we hadn 't been served for +30 minutes and had to track someone down to see where our desserts were. One person didn 't get her entree until others got their dessert. In all we spent THREE HOURS there. Pictured is the espresso martini flight (gross also, they 're just black flavored coffee vodka) and the ribeye dinner.I would never recommend this place for food. The waitress did comp our desserts but we had to pay for all of the other inedible food.
Visited during Restaurant Week (RE) on a Saturday night. We were seated around 7pm. Atmosphere was nice, not super busy which surprised us during RE. We finished dinner and drinks around 10pm. The atmosphere began shifting from restaurant to a night club around 930pm. Looked like things were getting ready to be electric! On to the food and service. First off, the server was great, even though overwhelmed. Seemed to be the only one running around.Since this was RE we had a choice of four main courses and a couple of us chose to upgrade to the ribeye. Unfortunately the ribeyes that were delivered were about a 1/2 thick. I asked for the cook on mine to be chef 's choice expecting the chef to cook the way it should be . I only do this with ribeyes as the chef usually likes to show off and make it perfect. Unfortunately, my 1/2 ribeye came out medium-well. So, you know how that went. I 'll take the blame here since maybe this chef prefers ribeyes more cooked through than me. My buddy had a slightly better steak as he ordered his medium-rare. They were so thin though. The ball of mashed potatoes was dry and might have been artificial. The asparagus was good. The other people in our party like their meals, which was shrimp alfredo or something.Pretty cool place with interesting decor! Lots of TV 's which was great for watching football!Overall it was a decent experience.
I went there last week for KC Restaurant week. Never been. The place is gorgeous and a very dope atmosphere. Our server Raven was good. I just wish they had more servers that night, because she had too many tables for 1 person. On to my meal. I ordered off the Restaurant week menu. I had the ribeye steak. I ordered it well. It came out dry and tough. And I did not eat it. The manager would not take it off my bill because he said couldn't discount just the steak from the restaurant week price. He also said that ordering it well, it will always come iut like that. I went to 2 other restaurants during restaurant week the previous weekend and both places i ordered a steak, well done, and they came out juicy and tender. So basically paid for a steak I didn't eat at Society. In my opinion, he could have taken off the whole meal and just charged me separately for the items I DID eat. salad, Brussels sprouts, and mashed potatoes. I was very disappointed in the way it was handled. I'll probably be back, but probably just for drinks. They also got another order at my table wrong. But overall, it's a nice happy hour or summer spot to go to!Parking: It was difficult finding a parking spot. I ended up parking around the corner in a garage. Probably won't go back until it's warm.
