Sankofa Cafe - Kansas City

My husband and I visited this restaurant to celebrate his birthday, and we had a wonderful experience. The owner was incredibly kind and welcoming. Since we arrived early for dinner, we practically had the place to ourselves. The interior was clean and nicely decorated. The prices were reasonable, and the portions were generous. We also enjoyed the delicious selection of Jamaican sodas! I'm looking forward to returning to try their mixed drinks.

This is hands down the best Jamaican food I've tasted in the city. The flavors are consistently outstanding. My favorite dishes are the curry rice and peas, along with the sweet potatoes, and the cabbage is amazing too!

I drove all the way from 125th Street just to find out that you were closed! Your website clearly stated that you would be open. If it had mentioned that you were closing, I wouldn't have wasted gas making the trip. Yes, I could have called to confirm your hours, but that's exactly why I checked the website in the first place!

This restaurant serves incredible food with generous portions at reasonable prices. If you haven't tried them yet, definitely go for the ox trails—they're fantastic! It's truly a hidden gem in the city!
