Brookside Barrio - Kansas City

I had my first visit to Brookside Barrio and it was fantastic! Our server, Riley, was amazing. She was very knowledgeable about gluten intolerance, which is quite rare to find. She also communicated with the kitchen to ensure my needs were met. The atmosphere was wonderful; we sat on the patio and there were fans to keep us comfortable. The food was delicious, and we will definitely be returning. I hope we get Riley as our server again! Dietary restrictions: Gluten intolerance.

Kylie W. has been our server on multiple occasions, and she is absolutely fantastic! She might just be my all-time favorite server. The drinks and chips keep coming, and she can anticipate our needs before we even have to ask. Plus, she always wears adorable earrings. I love the food at Barrio, but Kylie truly enhances the experience! Food: 5/5

May 2023We ended up unexpectedly at Brookside Barrio on a Friday afternoon was perfect weather, perfect food, and best of all, hands down our favorite customer service in Kansas City, a server named Hal. This young man has the “it” factor! He took remarkable care of us!If you want to go somewhere, that makes you feel special, go to the Brookside Barrio can, and ask for Hal!July 2023Stopped in to Brookside Barrio and asked if Hal could be our waiter. He was not there but we were really happy to know that this location has more than one really great waiter! Ricky provided very professional and prompt service (and he covers more than one location) …This time we had the Monday special, burritos… they did not disappoint! The black beans are a little on the spicy side for those of you who are sensitive to spice.Even on this hot day in KC, the fans provided a perfect amount of breeze on the patio… great background music and the buzz of playful conversions in this lovely space provided for a beautiful meal!

Wonderful, delicious, fresh food. I got the lettuce shrimp tacos and flavors were beautiful. I ate the whole thing! They only had 3 servers the day of the Taylor Swift concert, and, although slower than what you might normally expect at a restaurant, it was not overly slow.Food: 5/5
