Cafe Divine street is one of the best cafes in Kandy. It is a small compact place with a nice feeling and a good vibe to it. It is a two storey area with great facilities and certainly great food. The place is very well kept and the soft soothing music just relaxes you. If you’re in the area, you should definitely feel it for yourself. The Chicken Nasi and the Fried rice are two of the best dishes I’ve ever tasted in all of Kandy. The chicken Nasi is absolutely mouth-watering and delicious. The chicken really brings the whole dish together with its crisp freshness. It is a very filling very tasty dish that everyone need try. The Fried rice is just as fresh and just as delicious but in a different more special way. There are plenty more great options to choose from and I really wish we could have tried them all. Thank you cafe divine street for the great food and the amazing experience.
Griĺed chicken burger was good but the pinaple juice was very bad, too watery. Too bad because otherwise its a great place :
The food at this restaurant was fantastic and the customer service was good. There were no complaints, but the taste could be improved. Overall, it is a wonderful place to have a meal.
If you love trying local food whenever you travel, this is a good place for you. Western food is available at this cafe too. We ordered Chicken Kotthu (typical Sri Lankan food) and Beef Biryani Rice with a bottle of mineral water to share. Total damage was LKR930 for what we ordered. Good local food with good value for money. Do note that the Kotthu can be quite spicy, so ask to moderate it when you place your order at the counter. Good place for dinner in the city centre of Kandy.
I ordered a vegetarian nasi goreng and when I received my plate, I was surprised to not have an egg on top on my rice, but this surprise was nothing compare of the taste of the rice itself...I am aware that I am in a different countrie than mine, with a different food culture. I travelled for many years, plus I do like spicy food, but I never been served something like that. I was not able to eat more than 3 spoons of it. Before leaving, I politely told one of the staff, who did not seems to care at all. Maybe I have been unlucky (that's what I supposed by reading all the good comments), but I won't be back and if you still want to give a try to the nasi goreng, do not forget your bottle of water!
