Only our second time here and again - all expectations met and exceeded! Highly original, authentic yet personal (like a family) environment, sincere service, relaxed and comfy, and the food! What User doesn't like about Saffron Room:
About 6 friends and myself booked a table at this restaurant. There was only 1 waitress for the whole evening with the two owners cooking at the back. Service was extremely poor, waited 15 mins to be offered drinks, drinks came out in 20 mins, then waited another 30 mins to be asked what we would like to order. Food came out at least 45 minutes later. Pathetic!! And no apologies received what so ever from the staff.... View all feedback.
When Im in need of a Persian fix...this is my fave spot in Canberra. The food is prepared with great care and love so the longer than usual wait time is well worth it. Besides, you can snack on some great dips and bread while you wait and take in the ambience of the place.
We went to the Iranian Restaurant for the first time in Canberra and left very satisfied. Delicious Kebabs. The spices used in the marinade of red meat and white meat were incredibly tasty. As a kitchen, it is not far from the Turkish kitchen of Iranian cuisine, it is definitely enough to make us happy with the fact that we will go after that. Prices are affordable. We paid $70 for two people. Portions are quite large. Staff related.
Having lived with an Iranian who cooked authentic dishes, I must say the food at Saffron is exquisite, and authentic. The buffet on sunday nights is a great way to sample all the different dishes. Highly recommend it. The service is also high class and owned managed by a lovely Persian couple
A taste of Persia in your neighborhood. Good service, genuine food, nice prices. I think the restaurant is BYO.We really enjoyed the atmosphere in the restaurant.
Friendly service. Interesting atmosphere; try not to break anything as it doubles up as an antique store. Fresh flavours, overall a good donning experience!
