Went there with my mother on market day, was easier for mum with her walking trolley. Yes it was busy but nothing said when ordering 2 veggie breakfasts , no indication of how long it would be. Sat & waited, waited , waited then after 35 minutes , asked the girl on counter 'how much longer please' as have diabetes & have to eat at regular times. 'Five minutes ' she said after checking with chef......the. I realised i... View all feedback.

Nice little cafe tucked away from Main Street. Delicious food and coffee from a great menu whether dropping in for a cuppa or meeting for lunch. Lots of specials and always a favourite or two. Staff are very friendly and only too happy to help. Service can be a little slow but if you're not in a hurry it doesn't matter. Can't wait to return for something yummy.
I have been in twice this month with a friend & with my husband.I have only ordered eggs on toast & a coffee so as far as that goes it is pretty standard. But the staff are very polite. The cakes & baked goods look fabulous. As other reviews have said there is all day breakfast, a variety of simple Western foods & Asian options also. The cafe is very clean & simple with counter service. Will definately be going back & trying something new next time.
On Market Days I usually get here early to avoid the crowds, and love coming here because Mary and her partner make me very welcome and remember my personalised order every time. But this time my hubby came too and had a couple of things to do first, which means we were much later than usual and in fact we were lucky to get a table. This place is incredibly popular, partly because the food is so good, and partly because it is the closest venue to the Market, so it was very crowded. Staff were doing their best, and still friendly and efficient, and working as hard and fast as they could but we noticed that a great flood of customers seemed to arrive and order all at once at about the same time we did, so we had a good half an hour's wait this time before our beautiful quiche, pie and salad plus coffee arrived. But since we had snacked on all the wonderful samples available at the Market, the wait was not a problem :) It was great to sit down comfortably after an hour or so enjoying the Market, and lovely to enjoy a leisurely conversation together while waiting for our meal, and afterwards as well, without feeling the pressure to leave I have experienced at Jack and Jill Cafe and other Kalamunda cafes on Market Day

I realised it was one overworked lady who looked stressed......No the food didn't come as we were told another 10 minutes - went in at 12.30 .Other people were waiting , one man had eaten his food whilst his wife had not even received hers !On leaving we advised others going in not to bother as they cannot cope with orders from 12.30 !!
