Friday afternoon around 12:45 pm proved to be the perfect time to dine here. The service was great, and the food was served hot and delicious . I had the Portobello Mushroom sandwich with a side salad. My friend has the turkey burger. Both of our choices were on point. What Jack P doesn't like about King Street Grille Freshfields:
Decent restaurant but beware of the additional 3.5% service charge when paying by card. They do note it at the bottom of the receipt but it should be made crystal clear up front that the menu prices are the cash price only. Kind of shady especially for Kiawah where they have zero problems filling restaurants to capacity. Would be smarter to give a discount for cash than tack on a service charge for cards. Other than... Ashley, Jamie, Catherine and Drew are amazing! We love coming here for the beer, food and football, but these guys keep us coming back! I recently dined at this restaurant for dinner and was very impressed. The price per person was in the $20-30 range, but the quality of the food and service definitely exceeded my expectations. I would give the food, service, and atmosphere all a perfect score of 5. I highly recommend trying their wings and nachos, as they were both delicious.
