The café was beautifully clean and the owners had taken trouble to support local artists and book sellers by displaying their work. A place well worth visiting if one is in Placentia.

It was so good to s... read more We met Philip and Linda in 2013 on our first trip to Placentia so we knew we had to return to Rosedale Manor and Philip's Cafe on this trip. It was so good to see them both again. Glad that Philip's surgeries are over and he is recovering well. It was Philip who inspired me (after our last trip) to make my own granola. His is fabulous! All of the food at the cafe is so fresh and beautifully prepared and served. And the bread!!! Oh my! The restaurant is tiny but huge in atmosphere and quality. We hung out there with Linda and some other customers while we were waiting to go to the ferry. And we had take-out sandwiches for dinner on the ferry. Excellent! Philip and Linda certainly know how to take care of their customers!
