The café was beautifully clean and the owners had taken trouble to support local artists and book sellers by displaying their work. A place well worth visiting if one is in Placentia.

Les repa... read more D'abord, cet endroit est vraiment intéressant : lumineux à souhait, on peut y lire et acheter de livres écrits dans la région ou des photos à encâdrer. Les repas sont très biens et les portions raisonnables. La quiche à la pâte de patate (plutôt qu'une pâte feuilletée) était savoureuse ainsi que le sandwich aux oeufs. Le café est simplement exquis. J'ai également dîner chez Phil et j'ai pris le chili végétarien qui était délicieux. Le mieux de tout c'est Phil lui-même, une homme drôle qui vaut la peine de connaître.

Breakfast was very good, french toast, maple s... read more We stayed overnight in a B&B that is associated with the Rosedale B&B in Placentia, just above the Philip's Cafe. Breakfast was very good, french toast, maple syrup, fruit, and coffee. Nicely done, we met other couples from the Rosedale while having breakfast. The view of the harbour was magnificent.
