Reviews - Spread Eagle
Reviews summary
With its charming atmosphere and welcoming staff, this restaurant presents a mixed bag for potential diners. While some appreciate the lovely views and friendly service, others highlight a need for renovations and improved accessibility, particularly for wheelchair users. Reviews mention persistent odors, mediocre customer service regarding cancellations, and a lack of on-site dining options. However, many guests enjoyed their breakfasts and the cleanliness of their accommodations, with some praising the spacious rooms despite their outdated conditions. Ultimately, this establishment seems to have potential, yet requires significant enhancements to fully meet guest expectations.

Terribly cold, bland surroundings it was like sitting in a broom cupboard. No atmosphere at all. Would not recommend, only called in as it looked nice from outside. Service: 1 Location: 2
The friendliest locals of any inn I stayed at on my cross-border tour, and my room had an en-suite jacuzzi bath! Landlord seemed to be helping out several guests with different problems, shame there was no on-site food as the local Indian place is not super. Would definitely book again. Bit tired and run down, but the staff and guests were friendly. Biggest issue was that our room smelled of stale smoke and I really hate the smell of cigarette smoke. So it may not be an issue for others. Nice bar area for night cap. Rooms: 1 Service: 4 Location: 4

This was our last station before a night near the airport and the return flight to the house. thanks to the good ability, the spread eagle could set us up for one.
The restaurant seemed a bit worn out, but the staff and other diners were friendly. The main issue for me was that our table had a lingering smell of stale smoke, which I dislike. However, this may not be a problem for others. The bar had a lovely view of the cape.
She stayed here while she went away the cuthberts, in a case when it was too wet to wildcamp. phoned and the host could not have been more helpful. the room was excellent, clean spacious with modern coffee making facilities, flat-screen TV, shower over bath. the breakfast was very delicious (especially the mushrooms) and relaxed atmosphere. would be happy to stay back. very nice stay.
This guesthouse had the friendliest staff I encountered during my cross-border tour. My room even had a jacuzzi bath in it! The owner was very helpful, assisting several guests with any problems they had. The only downside was that there was no on-site restaurant, but the local Indian place nearby was not great. I would definitely stay here again in the future.
