Pocahontas Cabins Restaurant - Jasper

I've been staying at the Pocahontas almost every year for almost 20 years now so it goes without saying I've eaten there my fair share of times. Never once have I not enjoyed either the food or the overall experience; even if you're not a guest I'd recommend going there, especially to cap off a nice day of hiking then up at Miette.

We stopped in here after our trip to the Hot Springs, and the food was phenomenal.The fries were the freshest I've had. I had the Chicken Fingers and Fries, and my girlfriend had the Classic Steak Sandwich and Fries.The gravy that came with their fries was very good, and the service was also friendly.If I ever go up that way again, I'd stop back in here for a great lunch or dinner.

A very convenient stop off of Hwy 16 at the base of Miette. The best quality steak sandwich ever. Fresh ingredients and very loggy mountain feel restaurant. Very friendly and efficient waiters. Will stop again.

Over 2 mornings we shared very generous Egg croissant and Egg 'burrito' wraps with nicely made homestyle fried potatoes and fruit, (about $14C each). Our side yogurt and fruit were also tasty and generously portioned. Our servers were attentive and as international workers from the Czech Republic and S. Korea, had interesting stories to relate. (country of origin on name tags!) There is also a big breakfast buffet available. Although primarily for cabin guests, restaurant is open to all. It also serves dinner, which we did not try.
