This was the spot referred to us by the locals we rented from. It's good, not great. Although they did have a yogurt/ granola parfait that was very good, and came with a nice bananna bread. Eggs, pancakes average. Good service. Averaged priced for the area. Eventhough we didnt love it, we didnt have breakfast at any better place during our visit. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about O'Shea's Restaurant:
The servings are very generous but of average quality. We both had eggs, toast, hash browns and bacon. The service was friendly. The building is beautiful and reason enough to stop by for a meal. I will return to try another breakfast item - waffles with fruit. View all feedback.
Good restaurant, good, friendly service and burgers. Reasonable prices. Reasonably priced wines. Very quiet.
We ate here for dinner one evening and were very disappointed.I had a steak which was just ok. My husband had liver and mash which was tough . The vegetables (not fresh) were rock hard .My husband asked what beers were on tap, the waitress (fair enough) didn't know them so he went to the bar himself. Next thing, the barman came into the restaurant and shouted to the waitress about sending him to the bar. Most embarrassing. He wasn't even busy as there were only a few people in the bar!! Would not go to this again. Poor meal at a high price
We very much enjoyed our breakfast here. The restaurant is located in the Athabasca Hotel and is very nicely furnished. We came here because the staff at our lodging said the restaurant had good Eggs Benedict, my wife's favorite breakfast. My wife had the Eggs Benedict which she said was very good. I had pancakes and found them to also be good. Our server and hostess was attentive. We would eat here again when in the area.
Chose to treat myself to Sunday Eggs Benedict. What a mistake. I was surprised when the waitress asked how I wanted my eggs poached, medium or hard. Never having been asked this before I chose medium, expecting a runny yolk as in every poached egg I have ever had. When they arrived the most noticeable thing was the bright yellow sauce. It had a thick gloomy texture with no "run" but the most surprising thing was the taste, more like cheese sauce than any hollandaise I have ever tasted. When I got through to the eggs the yolks were solid. Under that was a very thin piece of ham.The accompanying hash browns, we're large chunks of potato which achieved the difficult task of tasting stale and barely cooked. The muffin was toasted ok.The coffee was also dire and lukewarm.Without doubt after being a regular visitor to Canada for over 30 years, this was the worst breakfast I have experienced.
