Description
Set beneath Jackson Hole’s pines, Bar T 5 delivers a warm, family-friendly Western evening: a scenic covered-wagon ride to a riverside camp, plentiful buffet barbecue (gluten-free options), lively corny-but-charming musical theatre, and engaging storytelling about Old West history. Attentive, youthful staff and actors keep things welcoming and interactive while practical touches—smooth rubber-wheeled wagons, boxed takeaways, and bus return—make the three-hour experience easy. Best booked in advance for peak season; come prepared for dusk mosquitoes and bring cash for driver tips. A memorable, rustic night out for couples, families, and visitors.

Delicious food, fantastic music, and wonderful people. You won’t regret visiting! For 45 years, this show has been sharing a western tale of friendship between Native Americans and pioneer settlers. Although the show has recently adapted to highlight the stories of the underrepresented, the remarkable character and hospitality of the venue remain as vibrant as ever.
Fun for the family to catch the spirit of mountain life! Horse trainers take you for a 30-minute drive (each way). The dinner is served buffet style and was tasteful and plentiful. The staff was friendly and dedicated and tried to pay attention to the needs of each guest. Musical entertainment was offered and then a bus ride back to the mountain. Moskitos were from (dusk) so use your antidote. The only thing that could have been improved is less delay / sitting on arrival and bus ride. Three hours a total of 6P-9P. No alcoholic drinks. Enjoy some of our photos.
Great experience for our first family vacation to Jackson hole. The kids loved it. The views on the wagon ride were beautiful. Staff was so friendly and the show and food were good. Thanks for a great evening of fun and family time.
Friendly engaged staff ready to answer any question or help serve you. Highly recommend this covered wagon experience if near the Jackson Hole area. Lots of history told through this event. We brought our kids and they loved the sights smells(yep those smells from the horses) too. Be sure to book in advanced during peak season.
We booked this dinner show literally last minute and it turned out to be a great experience! They are very hospitable and welcoming and everything was very comfortable. I was worried that we’d be trapped on an uncomfortable wagon with terrible food. We did the 6 o’clock dinner. They started with a brief history story and then a 30 minute carriage ride 2-miles up into the Forrest. The carriage ride was smooth and comfortable. We ended up eating around 7:15. They accommodated the gluten free people in our party and the kids ate non-stop and loved the food which is all you can eat. After the first helping you can go back and request special items (dark meet chicken, extra dressing on salad, etc. Food: BBQ chicken, beef with gravy, corn on the cob, dinner rolls, and salad Drinks: Water, lemonade, coffee, hot chocolate The entertainment was fun and perfectly cheesy. If you have younger kids I’d do the earlier dinner since the later dinner won’t get back until 9. But we had perfect weather and sunsets on the way back.
