The atmosphere was pleasant, and although the service was a bit slow despite it not being busy when we arrived, the dinner was beautifully presented and delicious. The bar selection was also great. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Stanley's Steakhouse:
Thanksgiving buffet was delicious, although the food temperature could have been hotter. Nice presentation and great variety. Buffet was set up in the bar and the bar clientele conversations and televisions did not lend much to the atmosphere. Also, the wait staff scurrying from place to place, often quite noisily, was not conducive to a nice dining experience. The wait staff were very personable, though. Wine select... View all feedback.
Great place for lunch or dinner. The service was excellent and friendly, our food was excellent. Nice atmosphere with historic values!
We dined here on Father 's Day and as might be expected there were numerous parties doing the same thing. I 'll break this review into two parts. The service and the food. The service was slow and it took a long time to get our orders. The four of us were there almost three hours. To be perfectly fair, there was one server working that night and two bartenders were recruited to help in the dining room. These three people worked their rears off to take care of all the people there. For management to only have one server scheduled was just insane given the holiday. Kudos to the server and bartenders for making the best of a really lousy situation. As for the food, it was great. When I see seasonal vegetables on a menu it 's almost always some generic steamed vegetables. These seasonal vegetables were sautéed with wonderful seasoning and other vegetables like mushrooms that you don 't normally see. The main courses we had were steaks, pork tenderloin and BBQ ribs all were great! We had dessert which everyone really enjoyed. We will be back here....just not on a holiday.
We have been there many times and maybe the cook has changed? We didn’t think it was as tasty as it had been. We had the calamari and didn’t really like the big wide strips, salad was fine, too much oregano and the pasta was average.
The food was excellent. Our waitress was super nice and had the menu and drinks perfectly memorized. The place is super nice and really clean. Bar was nice as well with a very friendly bartender. The prices were reasonable. Best restaurant in town I think
My adult daughter and I stayed at the National Hotel recently on May 24th. We made reservations for 7:45. The restaurant wasn’t busy so we were seated right on time. Our server was on top of it. She was knowledgeable about the menu items and checked back with us throughout our dinner. I had the Osso Bucco. WOW! The best I’ve ever had. My daughter ordered a Ribeye. Unfortunately it was full of fatty, sinewy gristle. Hence, the four star rating and not five. So, the value rating also four, not five. The meal was shown to the chef without any compting or reduced price. This can happen in the best steakhouses. So, other than that, we had a delightful dining experience and will be back when in the Jackson area.
