1st timer drove here from Memphis (Memphis location closed). 3 piece catfish filet =1 catfish filet sliced 3 ways. Food was alright not what I expected. Hush puppies very small. Came during lunch so extra small portions. I guess they trying to conserve.

My husband and I visited yesterday. Our waitress didn’t come to our table right away and blamed the hostess for not telling her she had seated us. We ordered a large fillet plate for him and a potato for me. I ate one piece of fish from his plate. The waitress was nowhere to be found when we were done. I had to get up and get another waitress to get me a to go plate. We never got a bill so we just went to register and told the cashier what we had. The cashier charged us for hush puppies slaw plate at $5.99. Because I had not ordered a full plate. Something the waitress should have told us. The other waitress were doing a great job. I was really impressed by the one waiting on a couple from Colorado sitting across from us. She was attentive and even suggesting places to visit in Jackson. I assume ours was smoking or napping.

My wife and I visited after looking for a place to have lunch while traveling Interstate 40 towards Memphis . Catfish Cabin popped up as one of the 10 best restaurants in Jackson so we decided to give it a try. The parking lot was packed although it was 11:30 am on a Sunday, and we almost decided to go elsewhere. But we stayed and the lobby quickly cleared of guests as the efficient staff seated everyone. Our waitress, Lauren, was wonderful, quickly taking our orders for drinks, catfish and sides, and smiling broadly while caring for us. My wife had catfish fillets and I had the whole fried catfish, both with excellent hush puppies and cole slaw. The portions were huge and we soon were full as ticks. It was a very satisfying experience overall, and at a very reasonable price. If you're in the neighborhood, we recommend you drop in for a meal too. The restaurant's honor as one of the city's best eateries is well deserved.
