Reviews - Aplos Simple Mediterranean
Reviews summary
Aplos Restaurant offers a charming ambiance and a menu filled with Mediterranean favorites, including crave-worthy pizzas and gyros, making it a preferred choice for many diners. Guests often rave about the flavor of the food, particularly the Supreme pizza and rotisserie chicken. However, service inconsistencies plague the overall experience. Patrons express frustration over incomplete orders, slow service, and a lack of attention to requests. While happy hour specials are a draw, the staff's communication and responsiveness need improvement. Despite these issues, the delightful food and inviting outdoor seating continue to attract returning customers.

They have a great Artichoke Pizza in the vegetarian options. Also, 3-6 is happy hours, making it a really affordable place with nice ambience to hangout. It's becoming a regular for me and my wife after her work. My wife likes their frozen yogurt withdifferent topping options as well.
To Jordan Rohan?s review. I do have to say Aplos is a kid friendly environment. There is a courtyard that is a community space and if you decide to sit in that area, that?s your choice. Aplos is not responsible for the children that are running around. Also, It?s Christmas and kids and schools are having parties. I do know the managers offered to move your table inside or onthe patio where they do have control over the noise but if you choose to sit in the courtyard and there are children and thatruffles your feathers then maybe aplos is just not the place for you. It?s s family friendly establishment. There are plentyof places in highland village where you can get a table away from activity. There will always be kids in the courtyard, Aplosemployees are not responsible for that. I was there tonight and it was no different than on a Friday or Saturday night whenkids are running around having fun while their parents get to do the same.
The pizza is craveable, and I'm not a huge pizza fan (the Supreme). The sauce is so very good and the crust is not too thick. It's one of the few pizza crusts I will eat (rather than picking off the toppings). Whenever I'm visiting my sister, a visit toAplos is a must. The wings are also wonderful as is the gyro (beef lamb). The rotisserie chicken is another favorite.Perfectly cooked- the flavor is all the way through, crisp skin-not at all dry. We usually sit outside in the courtyard area. It's a very nice setting. Sweet tea is great and the service is quick. Very much a favorite.
?absolutely wonderful!? In the words of my boyfriend. All together we ordered the steak gyro, regular gyro, wings, redfish plate and a frozen strawberry lemonade. The best item was the steak gyro! Hands down, never had anything like it! It was so complexand flavorful. Everything was fresh, except for the redfish. Will be returning.

Ordered braised lamb gyro w side salad and drink through the website. Showed up on time for curbside service. I also pre-tipped since I requested curbside. The lamb wasn?t hot or even warm. The pita wasn?t warmed. So it also wasn?t as soft as it could have been. There wasn?t an option to pick a dressing for side salad online, it was a dry salad with only the juices from the olives and tomatoes. I wasn?t provided with silverware or napkins. When I arrived I had to call several times before anyone could answer. It rolls to voicemail after 3 rings. I hadn?t ordered from here in over a year. I?ve had better experiences in the past.
My family and I, were traveling from Texas and decided to stop in Jackson to find a place to eat. This place is so cute, plus the food was great! My kids loved it!
I?m rating 2 stars because what I got did not match the price I paid for two people $60 including the tip). We sat outside in the beautiful courtyard and scanned the barcode to place our order. That was super convenient due to Covid. When paying, the tip was requested upfront which has always been odd to me). What can you do other than tip good because you don?t want someone to mishandle your food. Well?I?m confused on what I tipped for. A lady brought our Frose? or shall I say NO-se?. It was terrible, bitter and tasted mostly like St. Germain. A little simple syrup would have done it wonders. Also, the cups weren?t full!?! $8 for a small and almost half empty cup??? I then asked for straws and she seemed as if I was putting her at an inconvenience. Our actual food was brought by several others. Hopefully they got the tip and not the other lady! We then realized we didn?t get our water. We waited and waited and waited. I finally went inside, and low and behold, here?s the lady again. I told her we didn?t get the water we ordered. Her response was that they don?t see the water on the orders and we have to come ask them for a cup to get our own water. I was confused again! Why is it an option on the online ordering site and why can they see everything but the water??? Anywho, the food looked great but most was very bland. The Greek Salad and Gyro had zero flavor. The Greek Fries were kind of good but super salty at the same time. The pizza was good and we got happy hour pricing BUT it looked nothing like the picture on the ordering site. I?m not sure why this place is so highly rated. There are so many other great Mediterranean options out there.
Absolutely wonderful! As my friend said, we ordered the steak gyro, regular gyro, wings, redfish, and a frozen strawberry lemonade. The standout dish was definitely the steak gyro! I've never had anything like it—so complex and full of flavor. Everything was fresh except for the redfish. I will definitely be returning!
The pizza is credible and I'm not a big pizza fan (the Supreme). The sauce is so good and the crust is not too thick. It is one of the few pizza crusts I will eat (instead of picking up the toppings). Whenever I visit my sister, a visit to Aplos is a must. The wings are also wonderful, like the gyro (flame). The Rotisserie chicken is another favorite. Perfectly boiled- the taste is the whole way through, crunchy skin-not completely dry. We usually sit outside in the courtyard. It is a very beautiful environment. Sweet tea is great and the service is fast. Very popular.
