Macro Mamas is the best! We picked up the platter of the day from the Ithaca farmers market and were obsessed with it. Love the macrobiotic-whole foods/plant-based approach. The tarragon chickpeas were incredible. Her desserts are also outstanding, especially the tahini chocolate cookie and the spherical hazelnut cookie. I wish there were more restaurants and chefs making food like this.
We ordered tasty and filling lunches from Macro Mamas at the Ithaca Farmers Market: the “Popular Plate “ (salad, house dressing and peanut lime cold noodles and a hearty salad with chick peas, greens , quinoa and beets. There are other interesting dishes on the menu, including a large or small sampler platter and vegan cookies. The service was friendly and quick, and the prices were reasonable for the generous portions. Definitely worth a try at the market.

I’d definitely recommend their salad topped with the peanut lime noodles. This was an excellent lunch at the farmers market.
I've always had a great experience at Macro Mama, even though their menu changes every week. The maize fritters and peanut skalk noodles are definitely worth the wait in line!

The food looks very simple, but it is packed with flavor. I loved every vegetable I thought I hated, but they also serve food that everyone will love, like peanut lime noodles. The dessert table is always breathtaking as well.
I purchased a macro mama meal from the cooler at green star health food store and loved it! Wish they had more! Kind of also wish I could mail order these healthy meals, as I was just visiting the area.
Delicious and nutritious treat at the Tuesday and Saturday Farmer's Markets in Ithaca. Rotating menu that never disappoints. Some of the most amazing desserts. Feels absolutely decadent, but without the guilt. Nice touch is often including edible flowers. This is not an everyday treat for most people's budgets, but definitely worth the splurge when you are feeling like living large. Everything is vegan and most dishes are gluten-free.
