Contribute Feedback What Madge Bogan doesn't like about Burger King:
Not sure if the company just has low standards or if the employees are just incompetent but it would seem that both are extremely likely and as such are damaging this chain. I placed an order for two woppers, one spicy chicken sandwich and one crispy chicken sandwich. I asked for cheese on the chicken sandwiches. I also ordered two chicken nuggets and two small fries. What I received was two woppers, two spice chicke... View all feedback.
I didn't have a year of Burger King. It used to be one of my favorite fast food spots. This visit was a bit disappointing for me. While the spicy chicken sandwich was well cooked and juicy, it was much smaller than the laid-up bungalow and had mayonnaise around it on all sides. It wasn't very sharp. Although it was in a good way different that it seems that they changed in whole pieces of chickens instead of a plump of chickens that I really liked. The frits were thick and slightly soft with almost no salt on them. It had a delicious mouth feeling and it was a kind of endurance race to get through them. Definitely not the worst I had from a fast meal, but I will not return very soon. PS. The ride through the guy was very polite and personal.
To make matters worse, the shake machine was out of order, and only one of the two soda machines was functioning. Even that one had several selections that weren't working. My family and I were seated by a window, but my daughter became upset when she spotted what looked like a swarm of spiders outside on the visibly dirty windows. Given the ongoing pandemic, I would have expected better cleaning standards, but it was clear that wasn't the case. The photographs on the wall were askew, which, while a minor detail, shows a lack of attention to the environment. The lobby seemed stuck in the 1990s and bore obvious signs of neglect. There were dead flies and unsightly debris on the shelf by the window. While the tables had signs indicating they had been cleaned and disinfected, they appeared dirty. The service itself was adequate, but nothing noteworthy, particularly since the restaurant wasn't busy. Do the locals know something I don’t? It’s surprising that this establishment is still operating. Perhaps their low prices and promotional offers are keeping them afloat, despite the overall lack of quality and cleanliness.
I've lived in or around Ithaca, NY for almost 20 years and for some reason the Burger King is still open. They usually take forever to make your food thru in the drive and when they finally bring it out to your car (because they ask you can please drag you to the garbage can wait for your order). You need to look into the bags to ensure that they have your order correctly and almost every time it is NOT! My worst experience was about 2 weeks. We went on a Thursday at 10:15 and waited for someone to say welcome to Burger King. About 5 minutes or so later we moved to the window and nobody reacted. So I went to the front door that was locked. They close the lobby at 10 a.m. Finally, a male employee saw our car on the window, he made himself a burger at that time. He cried, you can't read the sign we're closing at 10. So I screamed the lobby at 10 and drove around 12. Needless to say, we got no food to order and he had to eat his free burgers. I called the 800 number in the window and spoke to a very nice woman who took my complaint and information. She told me she would conquer the franchise owner and let them know what happened and I would hear from them. Needless to say, I haven't heard of anyone and of course I went back last week in the evening and they screwed up our order again.
I'm not sure why it took 20 minutes to get a simple cheeseburger and fries at a fast food restaurant. I noticed the managers were too busy discussing their Starbucks orders. There were six of us waiting in line, and it took five minutes just for one of the managers to call someone over to take orders—even though she was right there and could have taken them herself. The service was really disappointing. They need to get their act together.
If I could give ZERO stars I would. Now I understand why when I pulled up at 6:20 PM on a Friday evening, this place was EMPTY. Ordered a Whopper Meal with NO ONIONS and a Bacon King meal with water. TWENTY SIX dollars!! The fries were half full, we ordered larges. I shouldn't have been charged for water, but was clearly charged. And my burger had onions. If you're the owner of this location, CLOSE, seriously, find something else to do. RIDICULOUS.
