large bar in the direction of the upper end of the upper street with large outside area with benches on the front inside is also quite spacious. my favorite thing at this bar is the prosecco on tap for approx. £4.50! View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about The Vineyard:
Food was terrible! Sunday roast was thin slivers of over cooked beef with frozen vegetables and the smallest Yorkshire pudding. Service lacked communication and any form of organisation. My friend had finished his meal and his plate cleared before I received mine. The courtyard is a lovely area but I will not be coming back as it is not worth the frustration. Management, kitchen and wait staff need a massive wake up... View all feedback.
Nice Atmosphere and friendly staff. We had a lovely evening. There was live music and we could even enjoy the terrace as it was a nice evening.
I have been in a personal hell for the last months. A purgatorial project has kept me in Islington since just before the first lockdown. I cannot express in strong enough words quite how awful Islington is. For the out of towners, Islington is resident to the kind of navel gazing, holier-than-thou communists who outdo their own self-loathing only with the sickening resentment they seem to hold the rest of the world in. I attach a photo taken in the newsagents a couple of doors down from the Vineyard. I submit this as evidence for the prosecution. I mean, in this day and age, it beggars belief. Oh, they are building a utopia in Islington. By the time they are finished goodness knows how many bodies will have piled up. I owe the Vineyard an existential debt. They have kept me sane through the most turbulent period in my life, and in environs that most normal people would find untenable. The staff are great, the foods decent, and as it’s across the road from the registry office you get quite a few parties of people there celebrating before their acquaintances tie the knot, which adds a fun vibe to the place. (I politely demur when any of the happy couples seek my thoughts on the intelligence of marrying someone from Islington). So, if you as I have made a Faustian pact with the devil, and find yourself in the socialist wormhole that is Islington, I plead with you to visit the Vineyard. It might just keep you sane long enough to do the best thing that Islington has to offer: to walk to the tube station and get the hell out of there. (P.S. if you come at a busy time you may well be sat across from tables of work parties who seem to talk deliberately at the loudest possible volume to ensure that everyone within earshot is evidenced of their equity, inclusivity and diversity bona fides. Watching them boast of their intersectional primacy over each other is a thing to behold, and has become a source of great entertainment to me. As have the purple haircuts. As Sun Tzu said: keep your enemies close

Management, kitchen and wait staff need a massive wake up call because that was the worst dining experience I've ever had.
This place has such a great location and atmosphere, but the slow service and terrible food quality detracts from the enjoyment. I, along with others, waited minutes to get served just to get a drink. When I food arrived, it was incorrect, dry and tasteless. Definitely not returning.
Had our Christmas dinner 13/12 and was fantastic. the food was nice three courses all came promptly no one waited more then rest. all courses were served by a high standard by friendly staff. I recommend
