The name of this restaurant initially drew me in, as it's so charming and perfectly reflects the warm atmosphere created by the staff. The owner and his wife were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making me feel like part of the family—I almost wanted to call him "uncle." After such a familial experience, I was thrilled to discover that the food is outstanding. I can confidently say I've had ribs here that practically fall off the bone. This place is truly a hidden gem in Vallejo, and I hope more people get the chance to enjoy the wonderful experience I had during my visit.
The prices here are average for BBQ—not too pricey, but also not overly cheap. However, you definitely get what you pay for in terms of quality, and I can assure you that the food is absolutely worth the price. I ordered the 3-way combo with links, chicken, ribs, and mac and cheese as a side. I loved everything! The flavors were bold, and the meat was tender and fell right off the bone. The mac and cheese was clearly homemade and far superior to any store-bought versions. This is, without a doubt, the best BBQ in the Valley. Let's support this local business! I’ll definitely be back soon.
What makes this restaurant exceptional is Marvin and Chandra. You really feel like you’re dining with friends here. For dinner, we ordered the rib plate with ranch beans and coleslaw, along with a side of mac and cheese. Nothing was overpowering, which we really appreciated. Everything was mild and tasted like a home-cooked meal should—fresh and satisfying.
Today I believed a little more love than a burger or pizza... and came over this bbq place in a basically abandoned area of Sonoma blvd in Vallejo. The pair that has this joint is very beautiful, seemingly clean and efficient with its service. I ended up with a 2-way combo of ribs and limbs, then crocheted homemade pumpkin cheesecakes down.
Went there and ordered 6 different items. Each and every meal was outstanding. The BBQ sauce was delicious the pumpkin cheesecake was awesome. I understand Chef Marvin makes over 19 different flavors of cheesecake. Marvin's wife is the sweet behind the company's name. We'll be going back next week for sure.
