Taiwan Popcorn Chicken - Irvine

They only take orders via kiosks or apps and the kiosks have the audacity to ask for tip (clearly they streamlined this business over COVID the rude employee who took orders based off of numerous reviews I've read...hint hint COVID is over in the states)I'm convinced this place is a front for a shady business bc I can't believe this place is still in business despite all the shortcomings and just a lack of caring.I've looked in the back kitchen and their oil was like pitch black, not sure if that is normal but the employee also had torn up shoes...I worked service industries before and that my friend is a liability slip and fall blah blah lawsuit clearly they don't care neither the owner nor the employees. All the miniscule things add up and paints a picture.their portions are pathetic. Boba was bad. And their bagging fee seems confusing...Never coming back. It was my fault for thinking I can get decent food without walking in without reading the reviews.

I had this yesterday after work and I was very surprised and glad I went here. I got the popcorn chicken spicy, fries and taro milk tea with Boba. It did take quite a bit for it to come out. Around 24 minutes which is pretty long in my opinion. The food was very good and a very good spice level. They didn't have ranch which I was surprised. Their milk tea wasn't that bad either. Bobas were a bit hard but that's ok. Other than that not a bad experience. Just wish they had ranch and the wait wasn't as long.

DO NOT ORDER MULTIPLE ITEMS. We ordered three fried items and they gave us a sad little bag. They gave us a small bag as if we only ordered one item instead of three. Not worth. Perhaps asking to bag separately would be better...Service was also extremely lacking. We waited at least 20 minutes for one tiny bag of food. :

I always go there for brown sugar milk boba. For $6.95…. They gave me that much

Very good popcorn chicken! I am a fan of popcorn chicken and this store definitely has the better ones.
