we came to lunch, based on recommendations from friends, and we were not disappointed. it is definitiw expensive, but the quality of eating is melt-in-your-mouth delicious! we shared the bbq flu, toro cutting roll, masago sushi, albacore sushi and uni sushi. View all feedback.
What JP Ladkani doesn't like about Otoro Sushi:
2 times I walked in the past month the place was half empty I asked if I can sit at the sushi bar 7 chairs empty they said we are full !!! I asked if I can place an order to Go the guy said sorry we can we are too busy.It looks like they don’t need the extra Business.Guess what ? I’ll go spend my money somewhere else where they appreciate their clients.
Great sushi. Salmon belly is excellent. I’m coming back again.
Tbh I was a bit socked to see the prices but the food was really good. We ordered the less expensive things and the quality of the food impressed us. My favorite thing was the soft crab hand roll, uffff, soooo goood! We ordered sashimi a la carte, one of them was really chewy, they didn’t took it out of the bill but gave us a complementary creamy green tea ice cream. Restrooms, not as clean as I would expected for the place.Make reservations (they don’t take same day reservation, has to be at least the day before)
Lunch combos is the best way to try different dishes in the same visit.
Excellent freshness and quality. Staff greeted us with objections that we lacked a reservation. All in all a great evening of very good food.
The quality of sushi easily competes with more upscale restaurants, definitely on the top of our list in OC/SoCal. The composition of each dish is packed with fresh quality fish with variety of textures. One of our favorite is Premium Chirashi, just be prepared to stretch your tummy a bit. ? We come to Otoro Sushi often and always walked out satisfied with a thought of returning soon!
